COVID traffic light system

A Place for Local Making is open at all levels of the government’s traffic light system.

We have taken the health, safety and wellbeing of staff, volunteers and members of the public into consideration, and thought carefully about how we can run events and safely deliver a fulfilling convivial experience.

We require all in-person event attendees, aged 12 years 3 months and over, to pre-register via the events page, and wear a mask while inside the space. Events have a max of 25 attendees, as per the government’s guidelines.

We have this policy in place so that we can continue to do what we love and operate as safely as possible, while protecting the health of our communities.


Remote joining

The reading groups and public discussions will have the option to join remotely online, so that if you do not feel comfortable participating in publicly accessible events at this time, you can still participate.


Masks and social distancing

At Orange and Red levels, masks will be required in all areas of our space. Events have a max of 25 attendees, based on capacity limits as per the government’s guidelines.

At Green, mask-wearing and social distancing is encouraged.
