Led by Waste Free Welly
Community repair, making and resource recovery spaces support a decentralized, distributive circular economy, local job creation and carbon emission reduction. Well equipped ‘bump spaces’ generate creativity and social cohesion.
How would you imagine a Wellington that invests in network of these spaces?
Members of Waste Free Welly, an open and collaborative group, will speak about their vision for a waste free city and invite you to participate in a co-design for a community resource recovery network.
Bring an item that has been saved from landfill through repair, redesign, or re-imagining.
Please register to attend online or in-person.
Details about joining online will be emailed to you.
Feel free to hello@localmaking.org with any questions.
This event is co-hosted by Sustainability Trust Wellington, and is made possible thanks to funding from Wellington City Council.
